I entered four categories at this competition in 2019. All the decoys are self righting, hollow white cedar with a basswood head and painted in acrylics. All four birds took second place ribbons.

I entered four categories at this competition in 2019. All the decoys are self righting, hollow white cedar with a basswood head and painted in acrylics. All four birds took second place ribbons.
The featured decoy was for a black duck. I chose to do an exposed wing preener.
A second category was for a low-head drake mallard.
Another category in the competition this year was an open (pose not specified) drake mallard. I decided to do a swimmer since I knew that he would help to animate the decoy spread when hunted.
The final category that I entered was for a drake wood duck.
